As GAFTA Superintendents, we have attended to a lot of vessels scheduled to load grains in Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay by doing remote assistance during holds cleaning preparation.
Our attendances start at the discharging ports (West Africa, South America, wherever the vessel is), where we board the vessel on the last day of port operations to inspect the equipment available (high pressure machine, chemicals) for the cleaning, the manpower arrangements per shift, to have a better overview of holds actual condition as well as to instruct and plan with the crew how to proceed with the cleaning preparation during the ballast leg up to loading ports.
During the ballast leg, we daily accompany the progress of the cleaning, suggest actions as necessary.
Upon arrival at loading ports, we jointly attend for holds inspection in order to have fair results and to make sure the vessels interests are duly protected.
By doing it we have avoided the needing of hiring cleaning team multiples time, saving time and money.
Whenever your team needs a marine surveying services, please let us know – will be much pleased to send our quotation and eventually collaborate with you.
We are ISO 9001 certified and proud members of GAFTA (as Superintendents), IAMCS, and NAMS, among others.
