Seatech has calibrated Ultrasonic Equipment to carry out Ultrasonic Tests in hatch covers, in order to assess the weathertightness of hatch covers.
The Ultrasonic Test is combined with a visual inspection, being all hatch covers’ fittings assessed, such as the packing rubbers, drain channels, drain holes, cleats, resting pads and non-return valves.
By the completion of the Ultrasonic Test, a field survey report is issued on board, stating the leak points found (if any) and requesting the necessary corrections. A final survey report with numerous photos is issued at the soonest.
Seatech is also able to perform Hose Test on hatch covers.
